Southeast of Zuidwolde, in Drenthe, lies a beautiful area of heathland with a large peat lake known as Het Zwarte Gat. Het Drentse Landschap also manages several partly wooded strips of heathland and peatland, which bear the old field name De Slagen. The area is intersected by the road De Egge, named after the stream that once meandered through the area. Peat for the stove used to be extracted from Het Zwarte Gat. The remaining dark peat water gave the fen its name. De Slagen and Het Zwarte Gat offer beautiful views.

Now, in 2019, I shoot about 11 years seriously. The last years with an SLR. I Like going in shooting early in the morning when it is still quiet and the Sun has yet to rise.
During travel I can't let my camera at home and I like to shoot.
