Arja Schrijver Photography Profile picture Venice has some beautiful old buildings and this is one of them. The orange brick facade adorns a beautiful balcony with organic decorations and lion heads carved into the stones. Columns rise from the balcony along the windows and above them are graceful arches with wrought iron railings. For me it was the combination of all these decorations, the orange color of the building and the typical red and white posts that make this photo a real Venetian picture.
The building is probably a hotel, with an entrance right on the water. To facilitate disembarkation from the boat, a small jetty has been placed on the hotel's stone steps.

I enjoy taking pictures of nature, from colorful flowers to the vast landscapes of Scotland and Norway. Photos of European cities can also be found in my shop. Whatever photos they are, I create them with the idea that they really add atmosphere to your home or workplace.
