Panorama of amphitheatre in Bryce Canyon, Utah, America. Special limestone formations. Extra special because there is a bit of snow between the rocks which gives a special atmosphere.
You can find more pictures of Bryce in my album Bryce Canyon.
Bryce Canyon is not really a ravine, but a series of strange, naturally shaped amphi theatres. Its walls consist of sixty different layers of sandstone, limestone and slate. In the amphitheatres there are numerous very capricious rock formations in all kinds of colours, varying from white, pastel pink, fiery orange and red to bright red. These rock formations (called hoodoos) are caused by erosion.

I like to take pictures of nature and landscapes. Travelling is my passion. I also like to occasionally apply in photoshop effects, or create new designs, thus creating digital art. Also art and culture in other countries have my interest. I created many albums in my shop: panoramas, landscapes, animals, people, flowers, various countries, buddhas and more. Besides photography I am involved in sculpting and painting. My other work can be seen on https://www.rietjebulthuis.nl
