It was a very quiet morning. I arrived at the lake well before sunrise. I had to explore the location with my headlamp on. It was still that dark. Unfortunately, it was an overcast morning, so the sun would not be visible.
This made me look for a composition with a long shutter speed during the blue hour. When I found this jetty, it was still very dark. So dark that even after a 3-minute exposure with my ND10, it was still heavily underexposed. So I switched to my ND3. I ended up using it to take this photo.
It was a private jetty, so I had to shoot through a fence. Fortunately, there was no beam in the middle, otherwise I couldn't take this photo with the jetty in the centre of the image.
I really enjoyed this morning, even though I had to get up at 5am. Getting out of bed is hard, but there is something special about getting up while the world is still asleep. Experiencing how the world wakes up remains special.
With my camera I love to go into nature or the city to capture fleeting moments.
