Kingfishers do not have much to fear from birds of prey, they are sometimes caught by surprise by a sparrow hawk or falcon. But still, it is always careful, when a wood pigeon unexpectedly flies over, this female is startled and takes this position. A second later she is already at ease, luckily I was just as alert as she was, so I could make this shot.
For over 20 years I have been enchanted by the beauty and lifestyle of these beautiful birds. My passion is to capture these wonders of nature in the most beautiful and natural way possible.
