About the artwork

With its unusual lifestyle, beautiful colours and exotic appearance, the kingfisher captures the imagination. Once you have seen one, you will never forget its colours.

The name kingfisher is actually misplaced. In fact, ice is its greatest enemy; kingfishers hate ice! If the water is frozen, he can no longer fish.

The kingfisher is also sometimes called the blue flash. At first, that is often all you get to see. Kingfishers reach speeds of up to 80 km per hour during their flight - no matter how small they are! But its striking blue back is often one of the things you see first about a kingfisher.

One of the best ways to find a kingfisher is to hear their sound. They constantly make short and shrill whistles. Especially when they fly away from their regular spot or just arrive. Once you've heard the sound you won't easily forget it. This is the most effective way to discover it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
