Watze D. de Haan Profile picture Als je met de trein vanuit Zwolle langs Amersfoort rijdt zie je vaak dit historisch gebouw met een waterpoort en een landpoort. Deze Koppelpoort is in 1450 gebouwd en is in mijn ogen één van de pareltjes van Amersfoort. Zodra je onder die poort doorloopt kom je in een uniek historisch centrum terecht, een museum op de vierkante kilometer. Op deze plek komt het Valleikanaal (en eerder Barneveldsebeek en Luntersebeek) samen in de Eem die vervolgens in het Eemmeer uitmondt.
