Watercolor painting of Lazise on Lake Garda.
Between Bardolino and Peschiera lies the atmospheric town of Lazise. The name of the town comes from the Latin Laceses, which means "place by the lake.
I photographed this composition on the other side of the cozy little harbor overlooking the street Via Fontana. I thought it was a beautiful spot and decided to recreate it someday.
In the foreground you can see part of the water of the cozy harbor with two small fishing boats. Behind it is the boulevard with the tall mansions with the charming windows, the cozy terrace of restaurant Gipi's Bar where people sit under the umbrellas and awnings eating and drinking. Because it was a very hot day.
I visited this cozy medieval town in the heart of summer. This painting exudes 'vacation' and 'coziness' and is an atmospheric image as a wall decoration. I painted the original painting in watercolor on A3 size and 300 gram watercolor paper.
