Lemna the greenery that lies on the water.
Lemna is the Latin word for Duckweed, water plants floating on the water. In many ditches where the water does not flow well, duckweed or Lemna forms.
So too in this small pond near the Lepelaarsplassen in Almere-Buiten. It is a piece of nature that remains untouched.
Nature can really go its way here. If trees fall or branches break, they are not removed unless there is a danger to visitors.
Because of the dense vegetation it is much darker than the time of day, and when the sun shines through the branches it creates light and shadow trails.
It then gets a bit of an eerie picture. Despite that you can make beautiful pictures of it.
The birders who always come to this forest are busy photographing birds not far from here. But in this place you have no problems with that in this piece are only a few small birds.
