I took this night photo in August 2020 on the darkest part of the Netherlands, the Boschplaat on Terschelling. There, on the deserted stretch of beach far beyond Oosterend, is a replica of a drowning house that used to serve as a refuge for stranded shipwrecked people. During the crystal clear August night I made several images of the house with the galactic center just behind it. See my other pictures at Werk aan de Muur. However, I shot this photo to the north with the emptiness of the beach and the sea just visible. Thanks to the high-quality post-processing, this photo can be printed very well at high resolution.

In addition to photo's of the Milky Way, I also make many images of The Hague where I live. Not only from the city center but also from the beach at Scheveningen and Kijkduin, including sunsets.
