The Palace Park in Apeldoorn is a household name. It is located right behind the Paleis Het Loo. The park gives a good picture of the country life of the Dutch royal family. It is one of the most beautiful parks in the Netherlands. An ideal walking area with many natural and other highlights. You come among others along the Willemstempel, a curious structure, built of tree trunks, with columns around, open on one side and equipped with a table and benches.
The temple was a popular place for the Oranges to relax. For example, King William I sat here in 1820, King William II in 1856 and Queen Wilhelmina in 1921. Here they could get close to themselves by reflecting on palace life in nature. The little temple is deliberately made of wood. They found it charming, so in the woods, it referred to an unaffected life.
