In the Ardennes you will find an abandoned satellite park/ground. It is full of large dishes, which have not been used for years, because the world has become more and more digital and does not need these dishes anymore.
The site is located in a tub-shaped valley that is completely free of radioelectric interference. The ground station was designed and built to receive and transmit telephone and telegraph traffic, television programs and state-of-the-art transmission techniques such as data processing.
In this tub-shaped valley, technology, architecture, art and nature come together in one.
The photo is a close up of 1 such large satellite dish, which looks mighty interesting because of all the connections. The work is called Ground Zero, because that is what this site is called in the urbex scene.
