Unique sustainable portrait of Michael van Gerwen handmade with paint remnants on waste wood Michael van Gerwen (Boxtel, 25 April 1989) is a Dutch professional dart player. He became the youngest player ever to win the PDC World Darts Championship on 1 January 2014, having reached the final of it a year earlier. Winning it also made him number one in the world rankings for the first time. He is currently a three-time world champion. In terms of major tournaments won (46 in total) or career earnings, Van Gerwen is the second most successful player in history after Phil Taylor. Van Gerwen won his 71st PDC Pro Tour title on 16 February 2019, breaking Taylor's record of winning 70 Pro Tour titles in his career. In 2022, Van Gerwen is the only active PDC player to have won all current major tournaments once or more.
Unique, affordable and personalized art, portraits and gifts on preferably old, used or discarded wood.
We are Gerhard van Dijkhuizen and Colet Scheper. Together we came up with the concept hou2use. Based on a photo we invent, design and create unique, personal and affordable art on wood. We strongly believe in sustainability and therefore we prefer to make portraits of people or (domestic) animals on used or discarded wood.
We love most art on commission. We then conceive and create, together with you and especially for you, a custom-made work of art or portrait on wood.
Thanks to our special collaboration with Werk aan de Muur, you can also reproduce our unique work in virtually any format and on virtually any material!
