About "Packard Eight Sedan A Classic American Car From 1948"

by Jan Keteleer (JanKé): A Journey Beyond the Canvas

About the artwork

The Packard Eight Sedan is a beautiful American car from the 1948 model year. It was designed by automotive legend Henry Ford and was built for his brother, Harry. Harry worked with Ford to help him design the car, which was built in Mexico but completed in Dearborn, Michigan. This is a true American classic car that was also built by some of the best automobile designers of the time.

This is a great American luxury car, built on a new design. The front was rounded and the side vents, B-pillars, and kidney arches were all new. There are no longer plastic parts on the sides, they have been replaced with fiberglass. It has been completely refinished, and the interior has been completely reupholstered. All the working parts have been refinished including the seats, dashboard, and door jambs.

It has been thoroughly inspected by a professional before it was shipped to its destination. It is one of only 100 such cars built by Packard, and it is given an "A" minus by the Society of Automotive Engineers. It is also one of only two Packards built with precision floor-paneling, which ensures excellent off road performance. This sedan also has an automatic transmission and has larger brake calipers, and is twenty inches longer than the outgoing Packard Eight Coupe. It also features magnesium under body; black front grille, black roof, front bumper, and side skirt. It has a five-year warranty from the factory.
