About the artwork

A painting of a man on a diving board in summertime by Jan Keteleer is unique and appealing, I would say. This is because the background is so vibrant and the subject so poised and so ready to be painted. This particular oil painting has been displayed in the Netherlands since 2021. And it was during that year that I saw the painting for the first time, along with some other artists.

Jan Keteleer's artwork for this oil painting of a man on a diving board is just fantastic, I must say. It has a very simple style of art, yet manages to capture the life and vitality of that particular period in time when there was the financial crisis, and people were looking to find a more simplistic solution to their problems than building an extravagant wall or sky scrapers. In fact, this painting takes us back almost to the basics of how artists used symbolism in paintings. The use of a light-colored palette, the depth of the shadows, and the vividness of the colors are all reminiscent of abstract art that the Belgian were so famous for, and they were great at using the colors and the dynamics to express something that people couldn't otherwise express in the actual art. And when the painting is framed, it enhances that framing further by bringing out the nuances and the beauty of this particular work of art.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
