Most shops are closed. As well as the second hand shops, which I visited several times a week, and where I found a lot of inspiration in the form of anonymous paintings and objects that I incorporated into my digital collages.
Yesterday I discovered the Rijksstudio of the Rijksmuseum, where you can download a large part of the collection in high resolution after registration and where you are even challenged to give your creativity free rein.
I took this truly beautiful painting by Hendrik Voogd as my starting point... Which I nevertheless re-coloured using AI.
I pasted it in the two torsos of a man and a woman, and put the contours of a shopping couple in between, and the association with Adam and Eve was born. The giraffe was added to emphasize the paradisiacal state of the landscape.

Although working as a lyrical chronicler, sometimes I see things that are not there; I photograph and edit them.
Recurring elements are: carved mannequins (humanoids) and anonymous 19th century paintings. Working from 100cm I come to sign (Nl only).
