The Hoorneboegse Heide is a nature reserve located south of the built-up area of Hilversum. The area comprises approximately 190 ha of nature reserve managed by the Goois Natuurreservaat. Since 12 May 2004 the area has been grazed by cattle, keeping the landscape open and preserving the vegetation specific to the heathland.
The Hoorneboeg estate forms the highest part of the area. Among other things, two mansions are located here in which a conference center of the Remonstrant Brotherhood is established,[1].
