Unique sustainable portrait of Pelé (Brazil) hand-painted with paint residue on waste wood
Pelé, nickname of Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Três Corações, October 23, 1940) is a former Brazilian soccer player. In his career, Pelé won many major awards, including three World Cups with the Brazilian team. Thanks in part to these three world titles, his enormous talent, mastery of all parts of the game and mentality, Pelé is considered by many to be one of the best soccer players of all time. Pelé scored 1301 goals throughout his career, and needed 1390 games to do so. After his career, he dedicated himself to charity and became an important person at FIFA. He was the ambassador for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Unique, affordable and personalized art, portraits and gifts on preferably old, used or discarded wood.
We are Gerhard van Dijkhuizen and Colet Scheper. Together we came up with the concept hou2use. Based on a photo we invent, design and create unique, personal and affordable art on wood. We strongly believe in sustainability and therefore we prefer to make portraits of people or (domestic) animals on used or discarded wood.
We love most art on commission. We then conceive and create, together with you and especially for you, a custom-made work of art or portrait on wood.
Thanks to our special collaboration with Werk aan de Muur, you can also reproduce our unique work in virtually any format and on virtually any material!
