My interpretation of classical paintings. I have a passion for antiquity and I am very nostalgic. Therefore I like to work from my love for painting. I give them a contemporary look and embrace the classic style.
Original by Solveig Lund. A young woman modeling a Norwegian bridal crown. At the turn of the century, Norwegian photographer Solveig Lund (1868-1943) made a good living photographing bunad dresses and bridal wear. She was based in Oslo and at one point had 3 different studios simultaneously in Oslo! Her pictures were intended for postcards, mainly aimed at the tourist market. She hand-colored many of her images herself.
Traditionally, a bridal crown is a headdress worn in central and northern Europe by single women on certain holidays, festivals and finally at their wedding. The tradition of using bridal crowns is certainly not just Norwegian. In most cultures, even today, it is common for the bride to be dressed in spectacular fashion, and often a special headdress is included.

Illustrator and specialist painter
I work very realistically and get inspiration from the everyday for my work. I combine a touch of fantasy with observation. Because of my painting background I have a love for imitation and precision. I start from my own perspective and I find it important to incorporate my interests in my illustrations. Not afraid to get my hands dirty, and a neat worker!
