The collar of Reed (Phragmites australis) reflected in the almost smooth water. It is a beautiful warm colour. The photo was taken in Nieuw-Weerdinge. I deliberately put the line of the reed collar and the water in the middle of the photo, because then you can see the top and bottom effect nicely. I took the photo just after moving to Drenthe from the west. It was a huge distance I travelled, but am very glad I did it. Here I have the peace and space to move on. In the west, it was too busy. I went from here to there. It all had to be done on time, too. Here, the wonderful thing is that you can take your time with what you are doing. It doesn't have to be done quickly or in a hurry. It's a nice photo to hang on the wall like a window. It gives a natural look in the room.
