This Robin (Erithacus rubecula) was sitting in the snow. He was probably looking for food among the snow. I took this picture in February 2021 when blizzard Darcy passed over the Netherlands. It was exceptionally cold that day. It was difficult for many birds to find food. Just like this Robin. I want to show that winter doesn't just bring happy snowy fun, but that there is also a turning point in it for animals. However cheerful a bird may look, it says nothing about whether it actually survives. Therefore, help the birds and other animals around you to get through the winter. This picture suits the bird and nature lover nicely. It gives a fresh look in your home. This photo was taken on a hike around the Elfhoevenplas which belongs to the Reeuwijkse Plassen in Reeuwijk. The orange/red breast comes out very nicely in this image.
