Rocks in the Sea at the Pink Granite Coast in France II is a minimalist photograph of rocks in the sea along the Pink Granite Coast of the department of Côte d’Armor in the north of Brittany in France. It was a soft, peaceful day at the end of spring. High tide had passed and the seawater was retreating further. Low tide was approaching and more and more rocks were appearing.
The initial title of the landscape photograph “Rocks in the Sea on the Pink Granite Coast in France II” was “The Symphony II”. It’s an image of a moment steeped with harmony. The tranquility of the day, the soft colours and pastel shades and the gentle, round shapes of the rocks and stones as the sounds of a harmonious symphony.
I think the rocks in this area of France are so incredibly beautiful. Touched by the sea, the current, the sand, the wind. Constantly submerged at high tide, bathed in the sun at low tide. Shaped by the endless cycles of the tides and the seasons.
