The painting is abstract, but also instantly recognizable because of the clear horizon that separates the top of the painting from the bottom. Because of the clear color contrast, it is reminiscent of the colorfield paintings from Abstract Expressionism by Mark Rothko and others. At the same time, this work is much more figurative and we recognize a beautiful nature in it.

I became known for my commissioned ink portraits. My work was first shown to a large audience in the program VTWonen Weer verliefd op je huis (February 2021). I make many ink portraits of and for individuals; from pregnancy portraits, wedding portraits, child portraits, love portraits and family portraits to portraits of pets such as dogs, cats, horses and birds. These ink portraits are all handmade by the way, drawn and painted with east indian ink on watercolor paper.

In my shop at work on the wall you can order my Digital Art. Because I normally work almost exclusively on commission, my autonomous art via Digital Art is really a wonderful experimental outlet. This also means that I keep experimenting with painting techniques and collage techniques using Photoshop. Although I love to experiment, quality comes first
