This is the view towards Tower Bridge from the Thames Marine Services. An accessible pier between St Katharine Docks and Wapping.
I arrived in London on the day Queen Elisabeth died, I saw the flag fly at half mast as I was shooting in the Westminster area. This is the day after, when many buildings were not lit - because of national mourning I guess - and a number were, but in Royal purple. Like Tower Bridge and the top of The Shard.
It was a special evening weather wise. Like a storm was blowing through London, as I've tried to capture in this atmospheric 10-second exposure image - at low tide.
Shot with a Nikon D850, so a huge image file of over 45 megapixels. Enough sharpness in XL format!
