Patrick van Os about Short-eared owl jumps from a pole in the field.

Last weekend I booked two overnight stays in Friesland in the hope of photographing the Short-eared Owl. Found a female owl right away on Friday evening. Unfortunately couldn't get a good photo of it, but felt like a good start.

Saturday morning we went out again. Unfortunately, no owl was found. We did find a kestrel. These are common in this region, I noticed.

Unfortunately, I found that I had driven a screw into the tyre of my car. The risk of driving down many farm roads in search of the owl. This was quickly repaired in the morning, allowing me to continue.

In the afternoon the weather was very stormy, but beyond my expectations this male owl came flying in and sat on a pole not far from me. After I took a few photos, he flew on again, looking for food.

The rest of the weekend unfortunately saw few owls up close anymore. The ones I did see stayed at a safe distance in the middle of the field. However, I did see many buzzards, falcons and a marsh harrier.

All in all, a successful weekend!

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
