The Lesser Stink Mushroom, a common mushroom in the Netherlands, is also called Dog's Hallus because of its shape and because dogs apparently love it. The mushroom can often be observed as a saprophyte from June through October on sawdust, coarse humus, and on or near highly decayed hardwoods in forests, avenues, and parks.
