This special church in the Betuwe is situated between the fruit orchards. The church is especially special because of its interior. In 1959, parts of murals appeared during works. These were completely uncovered in 1999 and made permanently visible again. These are depictions of the Last Judgement and of Saint George with the dragon. There are also two special funerary monuments: one by Hendrik van Brienen from 1663 and one by Reinoud van Wijhe from 1657. The name of the church comes from Saint John the Baptist, the patron saint of this church since the Middle Ages. The beautiful former presbytery is on the other side of the crossing near the church, Voorstraat 1.
