De Hef is the popular name for the Koningshavenbrug, a railway lift bridge over the Koningshaven in Rotterdam that was taken out of service for train traffic on 24 September 1993. The bridge was part of the railway line Breda - Rotterdam.

My name is Patrick Rodink (1971) and have been crazy about photography for a long time. My preference is mainly for landscape photos and cityscapes and photos with a slow shutter speed. I also try to bring the emotion as much as possible into the photos as I have personally experienced them while shooting these photos.
