Quiet road with trees in the Johannes Kerkhovenpolder in the province of Groningen. It is an area of the Dollard reclaimed in the years 1875 and 1876, located in the municipality of Eemsdelta in the northeast of the Dutch province of Groningen. The nearest town is Woldendorp. Until 1990, the polder belonged to the municipality of Termunten. The area is characterized by its emptiness, space and silence. Here and there a row of trees in the desolate landscape.
Bo Scheeringa is an enthusiastic landscape photographer, with a great passion for the Dutch province of Groningen and Ireland. She also specializes in portrait and documentary photography. Bo mainly works on her own projects.
She published two photo books: in 2017 "RUIM LEVEN a portrait of North Groningen and its inhabitants" appeared, and in 2021 she published the photo book "PEAT".
