Tuscan landscapes | Watercolour Painting | Diptych

This beautiful diptych 'Diktic' shows two Tuscan landscapes painted in Watercolour (watercolour). In the left painting, you can see a summer landscape with the famous chapel called Chapel Vitaleta ( Capella della madonna Vitela) with a farmhouse next to it. In the foreground is a row of trees in the countryside with red flowers. The right painting shows a red Tuscan house with tall green Cypresses in the surrounding hills and grassy hills. In the foreground are some red Poppies that give the picture a nice depth. The playful thing about these diptychs is that the diagonal lines of the landscapes are the same in both compositions, making the lines of one painting continue into the other. These paintings were repainted from my own photographic images taken during a beautiful tour of Tuscany. During this tour, I also visited the beautiful cities of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. Ricardo does everything in a traditional way. From stretching the watercolor paper, sketching and drawing the composition and subject, to painting with watercolors and inks.
