Vintage postcard Veerhaven and Zalmhaven Tower

From the series "vintage postcards of Rotterdam in the Twenties": the Veerhaven. Behind the historic ships in this historic harbor basin and the more than a hundred year old buildings of the surrounding Scheepvaartkwartier, a few anachronistic elements are rising: the Zalmhaven tower, completed in 2021, and its two little brothers. This is therefore not a real vintage postcard but a recent photo, artificially aged in Photoshop.

My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.

Originally trained as an architect and living in Rotterdam, I draw significant inspiration from the architecture and history of Roffa/Rotjeknor/Bokitodonk. Additionally, travels to places like Iceland and Great Britain, as well as walks in the Netherlands, provide ample material for my work.
