This photo, called 'Waterloop', was taken in the Kersbergserak near Lexmond (South Holland, Netherlands). This natural area lies on river De Lek. Because it was low tide, but also because of the extreme low water in the Netherlands, large parts of the riverbed fell dry. This gave the landscape a completely different character. The sunset provided a beautiful colour palette.
