Jan Keteleer is known for his abstract landscape paintings. He is known for the ethereal light that his paintings often contain. Early in his career, he painted mostly pure abstract landscapes. In 1986, Jan Keteleer moved to Spain. The light and water on the land inspired him to modify his painting style. He began producing abstract landscape paintings in the mid-1990s, and his last major work was completed in 1997. His art continued to evolve throughout his life, and he was a key influence for generations of artists. His work has influenced many contemporary artists, as well as the broader world.
