There are many of these catholic "prayer houses" along the roads in East Tyrol. They are called "Materl". With a thick layer of snow, they stand out even more. This one is near the village of Nikolsdorf in the Drau Valley.

I grew up in an artists family and as a child I was often painting and drawing. When I was nine years old we went on holidays to the mountains for the first time in my life. I fell in love immediately! One year later I had my first camera and I thought it was awesome! Taking pictures of beautiful landscapes, looking for the right composition, colours, light.. By now photography, and especially mountain photography, has become a true passion for me. I spend almost every day taking pictures or editing them.
