As a born and bred Hoekse, I enjoy sailing by boat from the UK, into Hoek van Holland. The view from the boat makes my heart beat faster for a moment. Over the years, it has become a bit more crowded though. In the foreground the Queen Emma Boulevard and behind it the lawn and the pretty white houses with red roofs, on Seinpad.
This time I was treated to calm weather, with lovely sunshine and a beautiful cloud cover. That a seagull also happened to fly through the frame completed the picture.
In any case, it also provided a nice photo for the VillaJoepCollection 2022.
I will donate all the proceeds from this photo (my commission) to the Villa Joep Foundation. So I sincerely hope you order something beautiful from this special Villa Joep Collection for charity!

I got photography from home. It was my father's hobby. In my youth he had his own darkroom to develop his photos. Later I started to photograph myself with an analogue camera. In the meantime it has made way for a digital SLR camera. No more photo rolls, but unlimited cutting. I photograph all kinds of things.
B12 Deficiency and Thin Fiber Neuropathy (DVN) threw some soot in the food in terms of possibilities. Now I briefly go out with my scooter or wheelchair and take my camera with me or look for it closer to home in the garden, so I can still take nice pictures. Again and again I see nice things to capture. I like to share all that beauty and who knows, there might be a nice picture for you on your wall!
With my photography I also want to draw attention to B12 Deficiency and DVN. I am very happy with the cooperation between the B12 institute and Erasmus MC, Department of Clinical Chemistry. They founded the B12 Institute Research Foundation.
Because I would like to support this Foundation with their good and important work, I would like to donate 10% of my commission from the sale of my photos to them. So when you buy a picture of my hand for on your wall, you help to raise awareness of (h)recognition and treatment of B12 Deficiency. DVN can be the cause of, among other things, untreated B12 Deficiency.
