The Willemsbrug in Rotterdam with its red pylons and bridge deck, beautifully lit, during a spectacular sunrise.
This bridge, which connects the city center with the North Island and the neighborhoods on the South, was put into service in 1981. It is already the second Willemsbrug, because two hundred meters downstream, since 1878, there was already a bridge with this name, but it looked rather different.
This photo is part of the harvest of my January expeditions. Every year in the weeks after the New Year I go into town a few times early to capture the sunrise. Of course you need a little luck and on this day I had it, because the sun rose very beautifully. And how beautifully the color of the bridge matches with the sky!
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
