The Hydrangea in our garden looks beautiful when it blooms colourfully. The colour of the flowers is not always the same in all gardens. They can be pink, white, purple or blue. In acid soil, the flowers turn blue. If the soil is not acidic, the flowers are pink. Gardeners often add lime to the soil to make soil less acidic. That's how they get pink flowers on the plant. In our garden, the soil is probably not acidic because the Hydrangea produces pink flowers. I like to photograph the flowering Hydrangea. If you don't cut the Hydrangeas in the garden too soon in autumn, the flowers first lose their colour and then they digest. You can now clearly see the structure of the petals. So when autumn comes and the flowers start to wilt, I still like to photograph them. The petals all become beautiful paintings and you can capture this beautifully in close-up.

I got photography from home. It was my father's hobby. In my youth he had his own darkroom to develop his photos. Later I started to photograph myself with an analogue camera. In the meantime it has made way for a digital SLR camera. No more photo rolls, but unlimited cutting. I photograph all kinds of things.
B12 Deficiency and Thin Fiber Neuropathy (DVN) threw some soot in the food in terms of possibilities. Now I briefly go out with my scooter or wheelchair and take my camera with me or look for it closer to home in the garden, so I can still take nice pictures. Again and again I see nice things to capture. I like to share all that beauty and who knows, there might be a nice picture for you on your wall!
With my photography I also want to draw attention to B12 Deficiency and DVN. I am very happy with the cooperation between the B12 institute and Erasmus MC, Department of Clinical Chemistry. They founded the B12 Institute Research Foundation.
Because I would like to support this Foundation with their good and important work, I would like to donate 10% of my commission from the sale of my photos to them. So when you buy a picture of my hand for on your wall, you help to raise awareness of (h)recognition and treatment of B12 Deficiency. DVN can be the cause of, among other things, untreated B12 Deficiency.
