About the artwork
As an artist, I am fascinated by the elegance and grace of ballet dance. With the work "Ballerina Blond" I want to celebrate the beauty of dance, ballet and the female body.
In this work, I created an intimate scene, with sunlight streaming in through an old window. The room exudes a nostalgic atmosphere, while the young ballerina stands at the centre of the composition. Her radiant blonde hair and white tutu form a beautiful contrast to the dark background.
The ballerina looks out with a dreamy gaze, as if longing for the stage and the freedom of dance. Her ballet slippers and pointes testify to her dedication and passion for the art form.
