The Maria Theresa Bridge is best known as the Ruhr Bridge or Stone Bridge. It is a characteristic stone bridge in the center of the city of Roermond. The bridge over the River Ruhr was donated in 1771 by Maria Theresa to the city has four arches. The bridge is only accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
Roermond is a lovely old Hanseatic town, located on the spot where the rivers Roer and Maas meet eachother. In the city you can fully enjoy beautiful old buildings, rivers, parks and shopping downtown or in the outlet center.
