Abstract mafia black cat portrait

This abstract ‘mafia’ black cat portrait painting combines a sinister gangster-like appearance with an expressive, abstract visual language. The black cat stands out against a background that is just as dark as he is, dressed in a smart suit with a fedora, the details of which are rendered in red. The tie also stands out in red, forming the only real splash of colour in the picture.

As the animal virtually blends into the surrounding black, the cat is made visible primarily by its surroundings. The red band on the hat and the red tie naturally draw your gaze to the centre, whilst the abstract visual language reduces its head to powerful planes and sharp lines. Its eyes stand out sharply against the darkness, giving it a calculated presence. This combination of almost disappearing yet dominating everything makes this portrait particularly compelling.

The stunning colours and exclusive design make this photo print a real eye-catcher that effortlessly holds your attention. Whether you hang it in the living room, a man cave or a modern home office, it brings a sense of character, mystique and stylish menace wherever it is displayed.

Anyone who loves abstract animal portraits, a cinematic gangster atmosphere or art with sharp colour contrasts will find a piece here that commands the room. This cat reveals only what he chooses to reveal.
