About ‘Beautiful pine tree for rising fog’ by Karla Leeftink
After a morning of dense fog, the trees finally become visible on the Drouwenerzand. The Scots pine pictured here has deep roots and can therefore successfully hold its ground on the shifting sands. Also visible is the heather in bloom and the juniper in the background.

Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist.
