About ‘Berlin East Side Gallery Graffiti’ by Jeroen Kleiberg

The Berlin East Side Gallery is a collection of over 100 murals painted on a section of the Berlin Wall by artists from around the world. The Berlin Wall was a physical barrier that divided the city of Berlin into East and West during the Cold War, and its fall in 1989 marked the end of the Cold War and the reunification of Germany. The East Side Gallery is a 1.3 kilometer stretch of the wall that has been preserved and transformed into an open-air gallery featuring the murals. The graffiti depicts a wide range of themes, including political messages, social commentary, and artistic expression. It is a vibrant and dynamic display of art that reflects the history and culture of Berlin and its people. The Berlin East Side Gallery graffiti has become a popular tourist destination and a symbol of the city's vibrant arts scene.
