Cherry Blossom – Abstract, Pink and White

This abstract pink-and-white painting of cherry blossom brings the gentle splendour of a blossoming orchard to life in a light and romantic composition, in which gracefully curved dark trunks beneath a dense cloud of pink and white blossom combine to form a spring-like scene that feels both tender and exuberant. This unique work of art depicts the petals as loose, thick dots of paint lying like snow upon the branches, whilst the palette knife and textured layers capture the flowering season in an artistic and contemporary manner. The soft pink, pearly white and sage-green hues lend the whole a dreamy quality that subtly yet powerfully reflects the transience of spring. The trunks curve like dancing lines through the composition, supporting the heavy canopy of blossom, whilst the grass, strewn with fallen petals, draws the eye downwards into the depths of the orchard.

The delicate colours make this piece a lovely choice for a light, natural or romantic interior. On the wall of a living room, bedroom or dining room, it brings a sense of freshness and softness, whilst above a sofa or bed it serves as a welcoming, colourful focal point.

Flower lovers, gardening enthusiasts and those who dream of Japanese spring days can bring the blossom season into their home all year round with this painting.
