Concerned people on Judgement Day: Cubism

‘Anxious Faces on Judgement Day’ (Cubism) depicts a row of anxious faces in profile, each with an intense, worried gaze staring straight ahead. The warm orange and terracotta skin tones alternate with cooler grey-blue areas, whilst sharp black vertical bands separate the faces from one another, evoking a sense of isolation and tension.

The vivid contrast between warm skin tones and cool greys creates an expressive and striking design, giving this photo print a powerful emotional impact in any space. The sharp lines and intense gazes lend the work a direct, almost confrontational character.

This composition draws its power from the expressive tradition of Cubism, in which emotion and identity are reduced to sharp, evocative planes. Each individual gaze tells its own story of uncertainty and anticipation.

Anyone who loves art with a story will find this artwork a striking centrepiece for an expressive, modern space. Whether hung in a living room, office or study with a distinctive character, this piece is guaranteed to spark conversation. Available in various materials and sizes, this print blends effortlessly with any interior style.
