Copper and obsidian cone sculpture

This copper-obsidian cone sculpture features a sharp, upright cone divided lengthways into two halves: on the left, brushed copper with a warm, reddish-brown sheen; on the right, glossy, deep black obsidian. The clean, straight dividing line running the full length of the cone emphasises the contrast between the soft metallic texture and the mirror-smooth surface. A focused beam of light falls on the underside, causing the base of the form to glow against the dark background, whilst the sharp tip stands out clearly against the dark setting. The precise geometry and the subdued lighting lend the piece a tranquil, almost ceremonial atmosphere. Reddish-brown copper and glossy black form a rich and refined pairing that gives this artwork a bold yet elegant appearance and fits perfectly into modern interiors.

The cone is one of the most basic geometric shapes, and by dividing it into two materials with completely different characteristics, a surprising interplay is created between warmth and coolness, matt and gloss.

A modern, stylish space such as a living room, study or hall is given a striking focal point with this piece on the wall, and it is available in various materials and sizes.
