In Pilanesberg Nature Park in South Africa, there is a hide-out in the middle of the park, a fenced-off piece of land with a path to a sort of hide-out on the water. From there you haves a nice view over the lake. In the water, several branches stick up out of the water. These branches are used by waterbirds as resting places. The cormorant, African kingfisher and herons are some of the birds you may encounter there.
This photo was taken in the early morning light. The backlight makes the branches and the bird stand out in a dark silhouette against the light pastel background. A beautiful sight.
