Ducati 916 Fire on the Track

I have loved motorcycles for as long as I can remember, and this Ducati 916 is where that love finally spilled onto the canvas. When I paint her, I am not just recording a machine, I am chasing a feeling. The red bodywork glows because I built it up in thick impasto strokes, letting the paint sit high and catch the light the way sunlight kisses a fresh tank. I wanted those warm reds to burn, so I pushed them against smoky greys and rust-colored dust drifting across the track behind her.

Look closely and you'll see the gold forks and the golden trellis frame I lingered over, because those details are the soul of an Italian thoroughbred. The dramatic lighting comes from the lower left, dragging long shadows and sculpting every curve of the fairings.

She sits still on her kickstand, yet I painted her to feel like she's holding her breath before a launch. The swirling smoke, the sweeping curbs, the grandstands melting into shadow, all of it hums with speed and raw power. This piece is my heartbeat as a rider, made visible for anyone who has ever twisted a throttle and felt truly alive.
