Ducati Desmosedici GP

When I painted this Ducati Desmosedici GP, I wasn't chasing a machine. I was chasing a feeling. The kind that rises in your chest when speed and stillness meet in the same breath.

I built the bike from heavy impasto strokes, letting the crimson fairings gather every bit of light. That scarlet red is where my heart lives on the canvas. It burns against the storm I set behind it, where fiery orange and warm ochre collapse into dark slate-blue smoke. Two moods, forever pulling at each other.

The wet racetrack came last. I wanted the tarmac to hold the sky like a mirror, so the reflections bleed and blur beneath the wheels. The gold Ohlins-style forks catch a single glint. The aerodynamic winglets cut the haze like a promise of motion.

Nothing here actually moves, and yet everything does. That paradox is the whole painting for me. It reminds me that our strongest moments often live in the pause before we launch forward.

I share this piece hoping you feel it too. That quiet electricity we all recognize, standing on the edge of something beautiful and fast.
