Ethereal Silence Buddha

A quiet three quarter portrait of the buddha emerges from deep washes of umber, crimson and charcoal on a clear white background. The head tilts gently forward, eyes lowered, as if listening inward. Soft shadows wrap around the cheek and jaw while warmer notes of red and sienna glow along the forehead and shoulder. The lower part of the bust dissolves into loose drips and splashes, so the figure feels as if it is forming out of smoke and fading thoughts rather than solid stone.

The composition keeps generous negative space on the left side of the sheet, allowing the silhouette to breathe and read clearly at large print sizes. Broken edges in the hair and robe add texture without disturbing the calm expression. Built with layered washes and controlled bleeding of pigment, the piece balances darkness and light, making it a strong focal point for contemplative corners, yoga rooms and bedrooms that need a peaceful yet dramatic accent.
