Flowering currant trees

The currant trees are in bloom. It is early morning and the sun is just starting to shine against the white flowers. The contrasts are not too harsh yet. So the soft atmosphere of the morning is maintained. The fog patches lift and a few wheatears make themselves heard. The focus of the image is on the large currant tree in the left foreground. The tree on the right and the other trees in the background are deliberately kept out of focus. This focuses the viewer's attention on the richly flowering currant tree on the left. The trees in the background create depth. On the tree stump in the middle - in the blurred background - sits a wheatear. A search in the year prior to making this image was necessary to find the best locations. I looked for currant trees in places where the first morning sun could shine on the flowers, creating a warm atmosphere. When the time came for the trees to bloom, things almost went wrong: on 1 April it was still freezing! Fortunately, things turned out well for the flowering of these trees. This image is the result. The work fits into both dark and light interiors. It adds depth, warmth and atmosphere. It can create a sense of calm and relaxation. In reality, currant trees only bloom so beautifully and exuberantly for a short time. With this work on the wall, you can enjoy it all year round.
